Starting as Franca's perfect gifts in the basement of the family home, Franca's has flourished. Immigrating from a small town in Calabria Italy, Franca and Mario started their life together in Calgary, and have never looked back.

Starting as a single entrepreneur to now owning a small business with a staff of 7 employees, the Flaviano's continue to adapt and grow. Franca's is proud to be a small family business, you will regularly see Nona, her sister or two boys helping out around the restaurant and sharing their love of food.

Mario has been featured in various publications, sharing his expertise and love of food. Mario was asked to create the main course for the 3rd annual Half Your Plate Chefs Dinner. The dinner showcases local Calgarian chefs showing us innovative, delicious new ways to enjoy our vegetables. The event had over 400 in attendance with all proceeds benefitting Calgary Community Kitchens and the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation.
